One thing I cannot stand during a session inside a gym or on the field is having to stop a drill, or session to reorganize cones because it got kicked, or the ball hit it. It is just wasted time. As a coach, I map out every practice to the minute. I only get 90 minutes to work with every kid on my team. So any time spent reorganizing or resetting up is wasted instruction time. I was turned on to coaching dots a few years ago by a dear friend.

They revolutionized coaching for me. They are flat, they don't move unless the grass is super slippery and they work everywhere. There are many different types, sizes, and types of quality. But any type will do over cones. Invest in some coaching dots. You will never look back, I promise you.
